AVT KPAT K MA-PKOC AVP ANTWNEINOC, laureate and cuirassed bust right, cuirass ornamented with a gorgoneion / EPI CTR M KAIREL ATTALOU PERGAMHNWN PROTWN G NEWKORWN, three neocorate temples, the central one in elevation, with statue of Zeus Ateophoros, the two side tetrastyle temples in perspective. Red-brownish patina, slightly double struck on obverse, Very Fine.

This medallion is one of a series issued to commemorate Caracalla's visit to the Temple of Asklepios in Pergamon in AD 214.
