TROAS, Antandros. Late 5th century BC. AR Obol (10mm, 0.94 g, 9h). Head of female (Artemis Astyrene?) right / Head of lion right within incuse square. Cf. SNG von Aulock 7582 (later type without incuse); SNG München –; SNG Ashmolean –; cf. SNG Tübingen 2555 (same); cf. Klein 298 (same); Traité II –. VF, toned, some porosity and minor deposits. Unpublished with reverse in incuse square, extremely rare, only the second specimen we have cataloged, with two additional examples on CoinArchives.
