ARCADIA, Phialia. Geta. As Caesar, AD 198-209. Æ Assarion (21mm, 4.50 g, 10h). ΛOV CЄΠ [ΓЄ]-TAN KAI CЄ[B], bareheaded and draped bust right / Asclepius standing facing, head left, leaning on serpent-entwined staff. BCD Peloponnesos 1660 (same dies); BCD Peloponnesos II –; BMC –; SNG Copenhagen –; NCP p. 107. Near VF, rough green and red-brown patina. Rare.

From the BCD (LHS) catalog: This coin is quite curious because the legend ostensibly describes Geta as being Augustus. This is surely a mistake by the die engraver because the bare-headed portrait clearly shows Geta as still being Caesar. There is, in fact, no evidence for any Peloponnesian coinage in the name of Geta as Augustus."
