EGYPT, Alexandria. Antoninus Pius. AD 138-161. Æ Hemidrachm (30mm, 17.31 g, 12h). Uncertain regnal year, but perhaps RY 17 (AD 153/4). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Two Agathodaimon serpents, wearing sekhemti (pschent) crowns, erect on either side of a column, surmounted by kalathos(?); L in exergue, [but Greek letters for regnal year not visible]. Köln –; Dattari (Savio) 3082 & 8940; K&G –; Emmett 1709.17 (R5 = Dattari 3082). Fine, rough brown surfaces with touches of green and red. Rare denomination and type.
