Andronicus III Palaeologus. 1328-1341. Æ Trachy (20mm, 1.50 g, 6h). Thessalonica mint. Winged patriarchal cross / Facing half-length figures of Andronicus, holding cruciform scepter, and St. Demetrius, holding [spear], supporting long cross between them; above, star within semi-circular frame. DOC 919-20; LPC p. 234, 3; PCPC 270; SB 2483. VF, dark green patina with patches of red, flan cracks.
