Farthing 1848 Reverse C. Shows characteristics of Reverse B coupled with the die flaw by Britannia's arm from Reverse A. B in BRITANNIAR has both serifs, although the lower serif is longer. An important coin linking the evolution of the die types, Obverse with 9 teeth date spacing, CGS Variety 10 the only example for this date thus far recorded by the CGS Population Report, discovered by a combination of the vendor and the cataloguer, VF slabbed and graded CGS 45 (see also the 1847 coin with this reverse type)
