An Apulian red-figure bell-krater.
Mid 4th century BC.
The obverse with winged Eros seated left on rocky outcrop, holding casket; before,woman standing right, left foot on rock, holding mirror and situla. The reverse with two standing himation clad youths, each holding a staff. Palmettes under the handles, groundline of meander, band of laurel under the rim, details in added white and yellow.
34.5 cm high, 34 cm diameter. Restored.
