An Etruscan bronze Heracle.
Central Italy, circa 3rd century BC.
Cast solid bronze. The youthful hero depicted nude, his short hair arranged in a cap-like coiffure, standing with his left knee bent, his right arm raised and bent back towards his head brandishing a small club (now bent), lion's skin on his bent left arm. 11 cm high. Left hand and foot missing.
