(x) Henry VIII (1509-1547), first coinage, Angel, m.m castle with pellet before, henric viii di gra rex agl z fr, St. Michael vanquishing Satan, both feet on dragon, rev. per crvce tva salva nos rede, cross dividing h and rose above shield within ship (Scchneider 557; N.1760; S.2265), lustrous surfaces, almost fully struck on a broad flan with bold legends complete to the outer rim beads, with a wonderfully detailed face of St Michael, die-lines visible in the fields, uncirculated.
