(x) Elizabeth I (1558-1603), sixth issue 1583-1600, Sovereign, 15.37g, m.m. tun, elizabeth d g ang fra et hib regina, queen enthroned holding orb and sceptre, portcullis at feet, tressure unbroken by throne, back of throne and uprights decorated with pellets, rev. a dno factv est istvd et est mirab in ocvl nrs, square-topped shield on Tudor rose, pellet stops (Brown & Comber A26; Schneider 783 (same dies); N.2003; S.2529), tiny dig in field above portcullis, otherwise a pleasing full round specimen with golden/red toning, almost extremely fine, rare.
