Edward the Confessor (1042-66), Penny, 1.27g, Pointed Helmet type, Sudbury, Folcwine, bust right bearded, wearing pointed helmet and holding in right hand a sceptre, rev. +FOCWINE ON SVĐI, short cross voided, each limb terminating in three crescents; in centre, an annulet (N825; S1179), crinkled flan and a flat portrait, attractive tone, very fine in parts, excessively rare .
