2nd Intermediate Period. Circa 1650-1550 BC. Blue glazed steatite scarab (21x15mm). Face depicts jackal (symbol of Anubis) to right, surrounded by various hieroglyphs. A lovely piece with just a few miniscule chips. Pierced. Cf. Ben Tor p. 82.
