Bronze Pegasus whetstone holder. Luristan, 9th-7th centuries BC. The protome of Pegasus, with one wing tip broken, once held a long whetstone for sharpening bronze weapons or tools. Length: 4.7cm. Green patina. Minor surface roughness.
