Dies prepared by Langford Jones in accordance with the design request from the Chinese Legation in London. Instantly identifiable for type by the highly stylized reverse wave that resembles a hand reaching up from the grave. A fabulous example, with the obverse featuring a portrait displaying every last contour on Sun Yat-sen's face. Bright white overall with just enough light tone to demonstrate the originality of the piece and generous amounts of luster as would be expected of a specimen striking.
