CHINA. Anhwei. 7.2 Candareens (10 Cents), ND (1898). PCGS MS-64 Secure Holder.
L&M-202; K-60; Y-42.3; WS-1079. "A.S.T.C". Population of six, with four a single point finer at PCGS and NGC combined. The English letters "T.A.S.C." are neatly placed in a clockwise manner in the field. Wenchao suggests an abbreviation meaning of "TATSING AN-HWEI SILVER COIN", or "Anhwei silver coin of the Great Qing". A superlative example of the issue, with a mixture of deep gunmetal and anthracite color toning. Sharply struck with well defined dragon scales and crisp clear characters. A very elusive coin in this heightened state of preservation, and sure to draw intense bidder interest. PCGS MS-64 Secure Holder.

Estimate: $1500.00- $2000.00
