The English letters "T.A.S.C." are neatly placed in a clockwise manner in the field. Wenchao suggests an abbreviation meaning of "TATSING AN-HWEI SILVER COIN", or "Anhwei silver coin of the Great Qing". A superlative example of the issue, with a mixture of deep gunmetal and anthracite color toning. Sharply struck with well defined dragon scales and crisp clear characters.
