CHINA. Order of the Brilliant Star, Second Class Cased Set. ND (Instituted 1941). NEARLY MINT STATE.
90 mm, 75 mm, 17 mm. Barac-466-477; Li-P120-121. Three pieces in set. Includes 90 mm Breast Star with eight pointed gilt plaque upon which has been superimposed by a gold-rimmed white plaque. Central medallion is dark blue with a gold-rimmed white star surrounded by a gilt band. Eight blue and eight red protrusions project from this band. Two of the red protrusions have gilt stars mounted on them. The reverse bears a single hinged and latched tunic pin. Two curved bands of inscriptions decorate the reverse as well as the number "1534". The breast badge is essentially as issued without damage. The 75 mm Sash Badge is similar, but smaller, with one white ray exhibiting cracked (but not chipped) enamel. The reverse inscriptions and number are the same, "1534". The sash is about 130 x 9 cm and made from purple moire silk with a gold stripe near each edge. A purple and gold pin-back rosette is included. The presentation case is complete with solid hinges. Also included, a miniature ribboned medal displayed in the lid without reverse serial number that is as issued. An attractive high grade set with much appeal. NEARLY MINT STATE.
