JAPAN. Yen, Year 16 (1883). NGC MS-62.
Y-A25.2; JNDA-01-10. A single point from finest graded at NGC, and with a highly prestigious provenance. Pittman knew a nice coin when he saw one, and the piece offered here is no exception. Conditionally scarce at this level as are nearly all of the 19th century Japanese crown size coinage. Light gray tone with a hint of rose, with considerable underlying luster. If you are collecting Japan, this one coin you won't want to miss out on. NGC MS-62.
