Zengid of Mosul, Qutb al-din Mawdud (544-564h), Dinar, al-Mawsil 552h, citing the Great Seljuq ruler Sanjar as overlord, 6.20g (A 1856 var.; W 1239 [plate coin]). Wavy flan, traces of mounting on edge, otherwise good very fine and extremely rare, believed unpublished.
This is believed to be the first published coin of this ruler to cite a Seljuq overlord. It is also an unpublished date for the mint; Diler does not record any dinars of al-Mawsil struck between 543h and 557h.
