Rasulid, al-Ashraf Isma'il (778-803h), dirham, mint and date missing, but Zabid, c.784-787h, rev. field: falcon attacking hubayra, wt. 1.86gms. (Album 1110.3), crude, softly struck with weak borders, otherwise extremely fine, very rare. The hunting scene on this coin depicts the favourite sport of falconry in the Arabian Peninsula, which, unfortunately has led to the virtual extinction of this lovely bird, known in the west as the Great Bustard.
