Head of Athena right, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with three olive leaves, vine scroll and palmette / Owl standing right, head facing; olive sprig to left, AΘE to right; all within incuse square. HGC 4, 1628. Starr Group III-IV.B. Weber 3441. Very rare! A lovely pre-mass coinage "owl" drachm, sharply struck on an exceptionally broad flan and possessing wonderful mellow golden toning. NGC Choice VF★ 5/5 - 5/5, Fine Style.
