Head of Athena right wearing crested Attic helmet ornamented with three laurel leaves and vine scroll / Owl standing right, head facing, olive spring and crescent behind; AΘE to right, all within incuse square. HGC 4, 1597. Kroll 8. SNG Copenhagen 31. Struck in high relief from dies of pleasing style. Light mark on cheek, otherwise an attractive "owl" with golden toning overall. Good Very Fine.Ex Eric P.
