ATTICA. Athens. Ca. 454-404 BC. AR tetradrachm (25mm, 17.22 gm, 3h). Mid-mass coinage issue, 440-404 BC. Head of Athena right, wearing crested Attic helmet ornamented with three laurel leaves and vine scroll / ΑΘΕ, owl standing right, head facing, olive sprig and crescent moon behind, all within incuse square. HGC 4, 1597. SNG Copenhagen 32. Well centered and deeply struck on an unusually broad flan, with fields displaying considerable "mint bloom" and luster. NGC MS 5/5 - 5/5.
