TAURIC CHERSONESUS. Chersonesus. Ca. 2nd-1st centuries BC. AR drachm or tetrobol (16mm, 3.39 gm, 12h). Head of Artemis right, bow and quiver at shoulder / Artemis left, kneeling on and spearing fallen stag, partial legend ending POY to right. Cf. SNG BM Black Sea 795 (similar design, earlier style, legend below stag). Apparently an extremely rare variant. NGC Choice XF 4/5 - 4/5.
