ACISCVLVS, head of Apollo Soranus right, hair in parallel corkscrew curls and held in taenia, lightly bearded; dolabra (pickaxe) to left, star above forehead / Europa riding bull right, holding her billowing veil above with both hands, L • VALERIVS in exergue. Crawford 474/1a. CRI 90. RSC Valeria 17. Scarce and evocative type, very rare in high grade! Well centered on a broad flan and beautifully toned. NGC Choice AU★ 5/5 - 5/5.
