D N ANASTA-SIVS P P AVC, pearl diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Anastasius right / GLOR ORVI-S T P P AV, emperor in military garb (cuirass and paludamentum ) standing left, holding spear in right hand, resting left on shield, eight-pointed star in left field, TESOB in exergue. Sear --. DOC --. MIBE (revised) NN18. Extremely rare, unrecorded in most major references. Struck in good silver, with an engaging portrait, likely the finest of about six known specimens.
