George V gold Sovereign 1922-M MS62 NGC, Melbourne mint, KM29, Fr-39, S-3999. Lustrous, with full mint brilliance and a few light marks. A very rare, and possibly undervalued issue that is seldom offered. In the last few years, we can reference only two pieces sold at auction; the Bentley Collection piece, sold by Baldwin's in their Auction 76, September 27, 2012, lot 835; and an example that Heritage sold in the January 6-7, 2013 New York auction, lot 20037.
