Leopold II 2 Francs 1887 MS64 NGC, KM31. Flemish. Nearly-Gem and perhaps worthy of the title, with glistening argent centers and delicate amber color at the peripheries. The portrait of Leopold II, along with the reverse coat of arms, are fully-rendered and high-point definition is readily seen, while the surrounding fields retain lively mint bloom that brightens the surfaces. Presently the finest certified example of this type by NGC, and well-deserving of that top distinction.
