Prague. Karl VI Taler 1714-IGR AU53 NGC, Prague mint, KM1495, Dav-1069. An exciting example struck on roller dies featuring the intricately-styled portrait of Karl VI and exceptional cabinet patination. Despite very minimal friction, the design motifs are quite bold--for the grade as well as the issue--and the fields still retain an ample amount of mint luster. From a short-lived, two-year series, this offering is currently the only-certified specimen by NGC of the type, and is likely one of the finest extant.
