Shantung. Empire silver Fantasy 1/2 Tael (1900) AU58 NGC, Kann-B16. Obv. Two dragons circle central box with five characters inside; ornate design around. Rev. 8-pointed star with characters in angles and in center; beaded border surrounding with ornate design at far edges. A rare 1/2 tael fantasy issue that features expert engraving and pleasing surfaces. The first of the type we have seen and given the collectibility of the series and presentability of the present piece, an item that is almost certain to be highly coveted.
