Republic gold 1/2 Escudo 1851-JB MS63 NGC, San Jose mint, KM97. A flashy little coin, weakly struck in the centers as usually seen but Choice Uncirculated with full mint brilliance and only scattered mild surface abrasions preventing a higher designation. A tad scarcer date for the type, conditionally very rare in this handsome quality.
