Republic Provisional 2 Reales 1828-FP AU55 NGC, San Salvador mint, KM5.1. Variety with "Libertad Salv" on the reverse legend. Handsomely toned and well preserved with unusually sharply defined devices on a large attractive flan, very faint friction evidence on the raised devices and mild wispy handling marks defining the grade. A rather remarkable specimen of this scarce type, currently the finest certified example of the variety and among the finest extant of the entire issue, vastly desirable as such.
