Bavaria. Maximilian I Taler 1627 MS64 NGC, Munich mint, KM227.1, Dav-6075, Hahn-111. Deep cabinet tone, with attractive hints of gold around the devices. Extremely well struck, with highly pleasing surfaces. A minor die crack on the obverse near the edge at 2 o'clock is noted, but also affects many issues from this year and is noted only for completeness as it in no way detracts from its brilliance.
