French Colony Center Plug ND (1770-72) XF40 NGC, cf. KM20 (Martinique), cf. Prid-16 (Dominica). Often listed under Martinique or Dominica. A boldly detailed central plug taken from a Spanish colonial Pillar issue, but carrying no defined value in period decrees. Rare. A whole example, with bit and center plug, was sold in our April 2011 CICF auction for $2,645.
