William III Crown 1695 MS64 NGC, Royal mint, ESC-87, S-3470. First Bust, Octavo edge. A striking Mint State specimen with classic cabinet patination and original mint luster that resides nicely beneath the tone. The portrait of William III defines the grade, with each wave of his hair pleasingly bold and his facial features fully-rendered. The reverse is equally sharp, with lighter central coloration and instances of darker graphite tone that dapple the fields. Altogether pleasing in this near-Gem quality and an ideal representative of the type.
