British India. Victoria gold Proof Restrike 10 Rupees 1870-(C) PR62 NGC, Calcutta mint, KM479, S&W-4.16. Mature bust. A visual stunner with fully-reflective surfaces that shimmer with orange-peel luster and crisply-defined elements that match the glossy fields. Lightly scattered marks are present throughout the open areas, and likely define the grade, but on an individual level they are not at all distracting to the eye. This popular restrike issue is widely collected, and at present time there are only two examples certified finer by NGC. An important coin with tremendous appeal, well-deserving of a premium bid.
