Vittorio Emanuele III 5 Lire 1914-R AU Details (Tooled) PCGS, Rome mint, KM56, Dav-144. Featuring the uniformed bust of Vittorio Emanuele III with a military-attired Italia wielding a branch and shield, driving a quadriga. Almost immediately the eye is drawn to the attractive patination on this one-year issue, with darker tone hugging the design elements and hints of turquoise brightening the reverse peripheries. Unfortunately, areas of tooling are evidenced, as is light wear across the higher points of the design motifs. This may, however, allow the price-conscious collector an opportunity to acquire this scarcity at a more affordable level.
Estimate: 4000-6000 USD
