British Colony "GR" Countermark 6 Shilling 8 Pence ND (1758) XF40 PCGS, KM8.2, Prid-4. A Mexico City 1757 Mo-MM 8 Reales centrally stamped on both sides with a floriate "GR" countermark raised within a circular indent. Base coin and countermark Extremely Fine, with very attractive old patina. The rarer variety for the countertsamp (labeled as type 2 in the catalog of the A. Patterson collection) and an unusually attractive example of this popular West Indies countermarked dollar, highly desirable as such.
