Mexico
Charles IV gold 2 Escudos 1806/5 Mo-TH AU58 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM132, Cal-372 (unlisted overdate). Nearly Uncirculated with good luster retention and mild roughness on the obverse resulting from die deterioration which, interestingly, was mentioned in a Royal Ordinance dated August 18, 1806 that instructed solving the defects noted on the samples of early renditions of that year sent from Mexico to Madrid. A most attractive example of this scarce type, quite rare and desirable in this fine quality.
Estimate: 1500-2000 USD
