Republic 8 Reales 1845 GC-MP AU55 NGC, Guadalupe y Calvo mint, KM377.7, DP-GC02. Variety with rounded cap / squared tail eagle and the repaired die (5 over a plug on the date). Well preserved with limited wear on the higher points, partial mint luster and moderate handling evidence on the surfaces. A tad weakly struck on the outside legends near the rim and a small planchet flaw noted on the reverse to the right of the eagle yet a decidedly superior example of this very scarce variety, rare and most desirable in this quality.From the FoxLair Collection
