Republic 8 Reales 1833 Mo-ML AU Details (Surface Hairlines) NGC, Mexico City mint, KM377., DP-Mo13 ("Rare"). Partially lustrous with cleaning evidence most apparent on the eagle's side yet rather sharply detailed with a full "Libertad" on the cap and a partially visible eagle's breast. The second rarest date/assayer combination of the popular Mexico City mint series and highly sought after as such. Clearly a superior and eminently collectible example of this rarity despite the noted defects since Mint State specimens are virtually unobtainable, as noted in DP ("No Uncirculated examples are known to exist") and reflected in the current census of NGC and PCGS where only one such coin is listed. From the FoxLair Collection
