Republic 8 Reales 1862/1 O-AE AU53 NGC, Oaxaca mint, KM377.11, DP-Oa07 ("Excessively rare"). Variety with the plain "O" mintmark. Overdate 2/1 not noted on the insert and a tad faint but certain since the obverse is struck from the same die as the DP plate coin. Lightly toned and well preserved with contained high-point wear - per the grade - and only moderate surface handling evidence. A very rare and significant overdate variety, one of only four overdates in the entire Oaxaca series as noted in DP and most desirable in this attractive quality.From the FoxLair Collection
