Republic 8 Reales 1857 Pi-MC AU55 NGC, San Luis Potosi mint, KM377.12, DP-Pi36 ("Very rare"). A second example in identical technical designation, with spottier toning and a tad better strike showing a visible "LIBERTAD" on the liberty cap. Additionally, this specimen shows a highly unusual edge design with a dotted pattern between the reeds, unlike any other seen by the cataloger and perhaps of relevant significance.
