Oaxaca. Revolutionary 10 Centavos 1915 MS61 Brown NGC, Oaxaca mint, KM727.2 ("4 Known"). Variety with "TM" initials on reverse below the wreath. Toned Mint State with hints of red despite the designation and the expected haphazard surface handling marks at this level. While KM and Bailey-Flores state "4 known" and "5 known" respectively this is certainly an exaggeration: Guthrie-Bothamley plate four different specimens (GB-310, GB-311, GB-312 and GB-314) and a handful of other examples have also been noted by the cataloguer. The present coin -currently the single certified example at NGC - remains nevertheless among the finest seen and is quite desirable as such.
Estimate: 900-1200 USD
