Republic gold Proof Probe 100 Rand 1987 PR68 Ultra Cameo NGC, KM-XE1, Doubled-Die Reverse. Celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the monument, erected in 1912, in Windhoek. This monument honors the soldier, and civilian casualties that died in the Herero and Namaqua War of 1904-07. The German Horse Soldiers honored by this statue were called the "Bushriders." Only a mere 15 pieces were officially struck of this 100 Rand Probe, but this may be the only "error" coin, with sharp doubling in the obverse legend and the dates.
