Panama
Republic copper Obverse and Reverse Motif Early Trial Pair ND (1904) UNC, Philadelphia mint, cf. KM5. A pair of early trial impressions for the bust and coat of arms of Panama, struck prior to the addition of lettering on Balboa and the reverse ribbon, and later turned into finished product on the 1904-1905 dated 50 centesimos issues of Panama. The only such items of the type we can recall, and presumably unique in form. As such, a pair of exceptional importance, representing some of the earliest numismatic relics from the fledgling Republic of Panama. From the Coin Cabinet of Isaac Rudman
