Philip V gold 8 Escudos 1735 L-N AU Details (Mount Removed) NGC, Lima mint, KM38.2, Fr-7. 27g. A sharp example of the type, the date being boldly rendered with minimal strike doubling visible on either side. Very limited evidence of a mount remains (at 11 o'clock on the obverse rim) and the surfaces don't show overwhelming evidence of past jewelry usage. All considered, an example with more strengths than shortcomings, and as such, a coin that should attract significant interest.
