Republic 8 Reales 1853 LM-MB MS61 NGC, Lima mint, KM142.12. Toned Mint State with strong underlying luster, pleasant surface quality for the assigned grade and unusually well struck for the issue despite trivial softness of strike found in the centers. A rare and one-year type, this being likely the finest example extant. A quite remarkable and most desirable coin as such, currently the only Mint State example at NGC with no specimens certified in any grade at PCGS and one which should grace any refined cabinet of Latin American crowns.
