Carlos I gold Goa Industrial & Agricultural Exposition Proof Medal 1890 PR62 Cameo NGC, Lisbon mint, 30mm/18.6g. By Alves. An extremely rare medal (the first we have seen in any metal) struck for the industrial and agricultural exposition held in the Portuguese-ruled territory of Goa on India's western coast. The bust punch, other than being leftward facing, is extremely similar to that used on the standard coinage of the period. A fantastic conversation piece that would ideally sit as a companion piece within an advanced collection of Goa's coinage.Ex. Lawrence Adams Collection.
