Manuel II Proof 500 Reis 1910 PR65 Cameo NGC, KM556. One-year type. Peninsular War Centennial issue. A rarity in proof format, the surfaces of the present specimen showcase heavy die polish in the fields on both sides that translates to deeply mirrored surfaces and evident frost on the design creates a lovely cameo effect. Very carefully handled over the ages with faint mauve and gold toning accents visible portions of the raised surfaces.
