Nicholas I copper Pattern 1/2 Kopeck (Denga) 1828 CПБ AU58 Brown NGC, St. Petersburg mint, KM-unlisted, Brekke-34, Bitkin-920. Rich, reddish-brown surfaces, with much of the original mint luster remaining. Only a few scattered marks on the edges and in the fields detract from this dazzling small trial piece featuring sharp, defined rims. An extremely rare piece, with just three other specimens crossing the auction block in the past decade.From the Nob Hill Collection.
